Before you begin

Read the directions of your own home

  1. 01

    Stand at the centre

Find the Brahmasthan by drawing diagonals across your floor plan. Take the compass reading from there, away from metal and electronics.

  2. 02

    Mark the true North

Note the degree reading and draw North on your plan. Sixteen zones of 22.5° each follow clockwise from there.

  3. 03

    Map each room

Overlay the 3×3 grid on the plan and note which zone each room, door and water source falls in. Then compare with the room guides.

Check your own Vaastu ProfileYour Moon sign (Janma Rashi) recommends the facing, entrance and rooms that suit you. Then compare your present home with it below.

Home Check

Your home does not match? Remedy it, don't rebuild it

Tell us which way your house faces and where its rooms are. Wherever it differs from your Vaastu Profile, you get practical remedies that need no demolition, and the puja to go with each one. A purohit from our panel can perform it for you.

Create your Vaastu Profile first to see the facing your Moon sign recommends. You can still check your rooms below without it.

Create My Vaastu Profile
1. Which way does your house face?

Stand at the main door looking out. The direction you face is the house's facing.

2. Where are these in your home?

Pick the zone from the 3×3 grid on your plan. Leave a room as "Not sure" to skip it.

Choose your house's facing and mark where the rooms are. Remedies for anything that differs, and the puja to go with them, appear here.

None of the remedies here ask you to break or rebuild anything. They work through placement, the use of rooms, colours, light, metals, yantras, mirrors, plants and puja.
